An Update from Stoney Creek Advisors on Business Procedures
We hope you and your loved ones continue to be healthy and safe. Thankfully for everyone at Stoney Creek Advisors, we and our families and friends are safe and well.
We want to give you another update on the current status of doing business.
Like many other businesses in Michigan, SCA began operating remotely over two months ago; we are adopting new, virtual business practices that we intend to make available indefinitely, which will allow our clients greater convenience in their meetings with us.
For those of you who are ready to come into the office instead of communicating with us digitally, we are making appointments with enough time to clean between visits and keep clients from sitting in our waiting areas. With this focus on safety in mind, we ask that walk-in appointments continue to be discontinued. We must all do our part to keep our families safe and prevent the spread of the virus.
We recognize the need for increased health safety measures and will now ask that all clients coming to our office wear masks during our visits. If you do not have a mask, you will be provided one at our new cleaning station, which will be set up right inside our door. There, you will find cleaning supplies, including surface wipes and hand sanitizer, masks, and gloves. We will also have additional supplies in our conference room for use before, during, and after appointments.
It is our goal not only to provide a clean space for our employees but for our Stoney Creek family at large, and we want you to feel safe when you come to see us, so that we can focus on the tasks at hand rather than on needing to wash our hands.
In March and April, we had taken a defensive position in our portfolios. After much review and research, we felt it was time to adjust our portfolios in early May to take a less defensive position and have invested in areas of the economy that reflect the “new normal.”
You may have also noticed a new look to our website—and if you haven’t, please check it out. We will be posting newsletters such as this one in our news section and have plans to roll out more helpful services through our website in the near future. Your client logins remain accessible to you through the Client Logins link at the top right in the navigation bar.
As always, we are all available for phone calls or web conferences, and if we miss your call, voicemail messages forward directly to our phones and email. We are pleased that the numbers are beginning to reduce and that we can offer both in-person and remote services to provide safe and convenient assistance to our clients. We will continue to send you emails with updates and changes.
We will continue to get through this together, and you can rest assured knowing that at SCA, we are trying to be even better than “business as usual.”
